So after one of the most intense winter rainfalls in many years you may be wondering what that all means for our besties the pesties.
Most important to remember is that if you were having issues no matter how small it seemed before the rainfall you are going to have major issues come the summer months, why? Pesties don’t just disappear but in the colder months they go into hibernation and bunker down a bit like us humans who find the couch more inviting than going out in the evening. So as we do, the first bit of sunshine and warmth we all get excited and our social calendars pick up, well so do the pesties and breeding kicks into high gear and the natural warmth speeds up the breeding process.
So our advise is if you noticed activity around May/June, and then it got quiet, but you start to see activity again, get a treatment done soonest to manage the situation and nip the activity in the bud. Preventative, regular treatments work out to be more cost-effective than having to have us sort out an issue that is totally out of control.
